Installing the CD-ROMs
|

First make sure you read the instructions both in the CD-ROM booklet and in the InstallReadme.pdf files on the CD-ROM. Updated version of these files are provided here:

WorldMaker
|
|
This version of WorldMaker is the same as the version supplied on the A2 CD-ROM. For those customers who only have the AS CD-ROM, the software including the models are provided here as a free download.

|
|
This version of WorldMaker is not supported by IOP Publishing. For those users who would like to experiment with the Java Beta version (Oct 2001) the following model files are compatable with this version.

Many Paths
|
|
This free Many Paths download contains cT_Executor.exe and several samples used in Chapter 7 Quantum Behaviour on the AS CD-ROM.
|

To install and run the software download ManyPaths.exe below. To unpack the files double click on the downloaded file ManyPaths.exe using the Windows file manager. You will then be prompted to enter a path to extract the files to the default - C:\program files\many paths. After the files have been extracted change directories to the installed folder and double click on cT_executor.exe. The software will then prompt for a file. Select any of the .ctb files to run the samples.

AS CD-ROM Service Pack
|
|
On NT-based networks a problem can occur with the AS interface, due to an issue with the Windows registry. This service pack provides a method of fixing a previous AS CD-ROM install or supplementing a new AS CD-ROM install. Please see the Readme.pdf file below for full details.
